First this is sincerely written by me, with some sources from Wikipedia for looking about Halloween
Who doesn't know Halloween nowadays? the end of October is come nearer so Halloween themes are spread around the world especially in USA. Historically Halloween is come from Ireland, is a yearly celebration of the western christian feast of all hallows day. Some resources tell it as a ritual of Paganism but today it has an influence from Christian which is also known as All Saints, Hallowmas or Hallowtide.
At the night of 31st October, at yore, people of Paganism used to burnt the bones of animals like cow etc, they wear a custom like a spirit to make peace with the spirits. So halloween it self has more meaning than wear a costume, walking around neighborhood and say "trick or treat?" while holding a pumpkin bucket. It has a meaning on it. and why people use a pumpkin as decoration for halloween. It because a north america tradition, it just tradition because a lot of pumpkin farm there.
For me who are a muslim, I'm not participate in Halloween at all. Though it just participate with wearing a costume, or saying happy halloween. I'm not doing any of Halloween's Stuff. well it's up to us
